Lemons! If life gives you lemons, this is what you can do with them…

lemons

Yes, there are several things that you can do with those lemons life handed to you believe it or not. Are they about to go old, moldy, stuck with a bag you bought at a Costco type store, well now you don’t have to throw your money down the drain! You can make the most of it, here’s how:

Get rid of blackheads and pimples
Just as good as Oolong tea, lemons can help your skin get rid of those pesky blackheads by gently rubbing a quarter of a lemon on your face (concentrating on clogged pore areas) then rinse face with warm water. Lemons kills nasty bacteria and the Alpha Hydroxy Acid acts a natural exfoliator for skin, reducing clogged pores and making skin appear smoother.

Brighten skin
Throw out your toxic toner and replace with a natural alternative! Squeeze fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and apply it directly to your face before going to bed.

Make nails whiter and brighter
Rub a half of a lemon directly on fingernails to make yellowed nails whiter (warning: if you have a cut or a torn cuticle, avoid that area because it will indeed sting, so BE careful!).

Digestion
Squeeze fresh lemon juice into your drinking water! The combination of lemon and water helps your stomach digest and clear out impurities (yuk!). It also gives your plain water a little kick!

Make hair silky smooth and/or lighten your locks naturally
Lemon juice is well-known as an all-natural hair lightener, but it can also add shine to dry, drab strands. Add freshly-squeezed lemon juice into a cup of water, then pour the mixture into clean, wet strands. Rinse after a few minutes to avoid lightening your hair or leave in leave in for a lighter shade.

Enjoy! Stay BEautiful!

Hello world!…Welcome to my first blog!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to THANK all of you in advance for taking the time to read this. I promise you that I will bring you the BEST information on nutrition, products, recipes, etc. I possibly can. So…I’m not a doctor of any kind (nor do I plan to be), I’m not a nutritionist (although maybe one day), and I’m not an expert on anything that I will be talking about (my disclaimer, ha!) I’m a “normal” woman, lady, sister, daughter, wife, friend, etc. that decided she was going to stop letting people (especially the medical industry) tell her what to do and think and take charge of her own life. What does that mean, you ask? That means that I believe in doing my own research, I ask questions, look for 2, 3, 4, 5 opinions, before I make a decision. Yes, that takes time, but believe me, it’s worth it! We have to stop being lazy (me included) and do what’s best for us, our families, do what’s in our best interest, not THIERS (whomever “THEY” are) and become better people, a better society.

My grandmother passed away in 2007 from a severe case of pneumonia (which she contracted while in the hospital) and my world changed dramatically…I want to stay positive and say for the better. I became obsessed with health, foods I ate, chemicals we put in our body without even knowing, everyday things that affect our lives in the long run. Which is the reason why I wanted to start this blog. I also suffer from hypothyroidism and I’m pretty sure I’ve had it almost all my life, also due to the poor nutrition (it hurts my mom when I say this, sorry mom!), but just to be clear, we had homemade food everyday growing up…so why poor nutrition? More on that later…

This is my chance to share to the world what I have learned, my experiences, the good, the bad, and the ugly…and of course the beautiful too! Take what you want and toss what you don’t. If I knew then, what I know now, I would not be here, so things happen for a reason. If I at least help one person through my journey…then it was all worth it!

I hope you enjoy and always remember that you are BEautiful! Let’s live a Pure Beauty Lifestyle!

Lots of hugs,

Jessica :)
